What is a West Marches Campaign?
West Marches is a TTRPG campaign style with one or multiple GMs maintaining a consistent world. Players sign up for adventures independently, with characters who grow over time, and explore from a shared home base.
How It Works
Setup Your Community
- Create Your Community
Start by creating your community with basic details about your campaign
- Add Bot to Discord
Connect your Discord server by adding our bot. The bot checks user's roles and can be configured to send notifications
- Configure Permissions
Map your Discord server roles to website permissions. When players visit your community page, it automatically adapts to their Discord roles
- Share with Players
Share your community link with your West Marches campaign members. Players can immediately start creating characters and Game masters can schedule adventures
Run Your Campaign
- For Game Masters
Create and schedule adventures, review and approve character submissions, distribute experience points and rewards after adventures, and document your world using the built-in content editor
- For Players
Create and manage multiple characters, discover and join available adventures that match your schedule and character level, track your character's progression and adventure history
- Discord Integration
Notifications keep your Discord community informed about new adventures, character approvals, and campaign updates. All notifications are configurable in community settings
- Community Features
Use the marketplace for trading, explore the world documentation, and access detailed adventure logs and character progression tracking
